After breakfast in the Sahara we leave the golden dunes of Merzouga and begin our journey toward the Dades Valley Our first stop is Rissani a historic desert town known for its lively traditional markets ancient caravan routes and deep cultural roots. It is considered the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty Morocco royal family.
We then continue north toward the majestic Todra Gorges one of Morocco most impressive natural wonders. These towering limestone cliffs rise up to 300 meters creating a dramatic canyon enjoyed by hikers climbers and nature lovers. After breakfast at your Riad in the Dades Valley we begin our scenic journey toward Marrakech. Today route follows the legendary Road of 1000 Kasbahs one of Morocco most picturesque valleys dotted with ancient fortresses and palm filled oases.
Our first stop is Ouarzazate also known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” Here you can take memorable photos in front of Kasbah Taourirt one of the most impressive and well preserved Kasbahs in Morocco.
We then continue to the iconic Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a filming location for many famous productions including Game of Thrones Gladiator and The Mummy.
